The Santa Fe to Taos thru-hike goes from the Santa Fe Plaza all the way to Taos Plaza over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It is 132 miles long, spans four counties – Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Mora, and Taos – and crosses the Santa Fe National Forest, The Pecos Wilderness, and Carson National Forest.
We have Gaia GPS maps documenting every step of the thru-hike.

The Santa Fe River is a bit to the left, out of view in this photo. This is a superb little walk along the Santa Fe River. If you're looking for an easy walk in Santa Fe that's about an hour out and back, try this. Just be super-quiet, leash your dogs, and behave - you'll be close to many houses, and you are technically on private property (that has an easement).
