Become a Member
Membership includes:
- Access to the Members’ Resupply in Tres Ritos (roughly the half-way point of the thru-hike), so you can ship yourself a box, drop off your box in Santa Fe or Tres Ritos, or resupply on the fly from the wilderness store.
- An information packet, 11×17 map set, sticker, bookmarks, and postcards set.
- Printed and Kindle/ebook editions of the guidebook.
- Early notifications about alternate routes.
Note: Please become a member at least two weeks before you need access to the resupply. While I can accommodate quick turnarounds most of the time, if I am out on trail, I may not be able to get information – much less materials – to you as quickly as you’d like. I am working on getting help so we can do super-fast turnarounds for people who want to become members and then use the resupply a couple of days later, but I am not there yet. Please give yourself, and me, some lead time.
The Santa Fe to Taos Thru- Hike is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, so your membership is tax-deductible.
All memberships come with heaping portions of gratitude, and spur ongoing improvements for the thru-hike and projects that help people, wildlife, trails, the forests, and the watersheds. We are currently 90% self-funded by Pam Neely, but greatly appreciate the generous donation from the Brown-Hoover Fund, which covers (among other things) the rent and $1,500 of the costs for stocking the members’ resupply.
If you would like to donate gear to the resupply, please contact us at contact@santafetotaos.org. Someday, it would be wonderful to have a “gear library” so people who want to do the thru-hike but don’t have the approximately $1,000 needed for gear to do the thru-hike could rent or borrow what they need to get out on the trail.
