We loved it! We live off of Kit Carson Rd and started our hike right outside our front door. We walked to the Taos Plaza, and then to the Taos Courthouse to catch the Blue Bus to Santa Fe. Our first day was exceptionally hot, and we were dismayed to find there was no water in Little Tesuque. Little did we know that we’d have afternoon rains lasting 2-5 hours for almost every other day of our trip. Highlights included swimming in Lake Katherine, camping at Upper Truchas Lake, and having our friend join us along Rio de la Olla for a surprise birthday party for Cameron. We only met one other through hiker during the 8 days we were out.
